Binary Sunset UK is not just a Star Wars website, it’s about the love of Star Wars and all the different ways people around the world express that love. One of my favourite stories is that of Beanie and the Bounty Hunter B’n’B.
My name is Beanie (real name Alicia) and I am a Star Wars addict. My addiction started in the 80s but really didn’t go full-blown nerd, until The Phantom Menace came out. I love Star Wars because something in me longs for adventure and excitement in a distant land and the Star Wars universe takes me there.
In May of 2016 my husband bought me a doll house. It is a 1/12 scale model and immediately I thought, that’s the same scale as my Black Series action figures. I only had a few Black Series figures at the time, and my Jango Fett was my favorite, so naturally the house was going to be his. I thought it would be cool to take pictures of the building process, and so my Instagram account was born. The account instantly became my escape, my own world that I create. Play, imagination, and pretend flooded me again like a childhood reborn. All my action figures now had new life. Each one waiting their turn to visits the Bounty Hunter Bed and Breakfast.
My story line I like to keep light and fun, but i also pull from life experiences. I tried to keep the characters somewhat true to their real Star Wars character, but I have definitely infused personalities of my family members and friends into some of the characters. All the pictures I take I do with my phone, a Google pixel 2. I am not a professional photographer or writer, I’m just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe.
The house is 3 stories tall. It has 4 bedrooms and 1 bath. Jango’s room is on the third story. With the bathroom. The second story has the Gold Room which is unfinished. The Black Room (aka Boba’s room when he visits) and the Red Room (Zam’s room). The main level has the living room, the dining room and the kitchen. Throughout the house there is pictures of bounty hunters on the walls and in the Gold Room a picture of Jabba the Hutt. The house is still a work in progress and probably will be for a long time.
I hope the Bounty Hunter bed and breakfast inspires and entertains my followers.
